Brighter Future For E-commerce In The Philippines

Just a month ago, the Cards & Payments Philippines and E-Commerce Show Philippines happened at SMX Convention Center for the first time here in the country. Terrapin is a foreign company that brought the event and gathered together the leading thought leaders and brands in one place for two days.

Because of the efforts of fellow blogger and Bloggers Ng Pinas admin, Ms. Dianne Gutierrez of The Memet Diaries. together with other admins, we were granted access to that 2-day event. We were also  able to grant other bloggers a chance to not just attend the event but also interview the participating brands and personalities.

It was a jam-packed event that everyone would have hoped for it to run for a couple more days. Those who are in the e-commerce industry were treated with more than just insightful talks but also opportunities to connect and expand their network

During the first day, I miscalculated the travel time from my place in Pasig to the venue that I arrived late. Because I was late, I missed the talks of the early speakers during that day.

Nonetheless, I had the chance to check out the booths of participating brands and sponsors and even met new acquaintances. I was also able to catch up with a few friends in the industry.

On the second day of the event, I made sure I get there on time and make the most of the opportunity to listen to the speakers that day.

I surely did.

For someone who is in the digital marketing world, it is exciting to know that the Philippines is making such a great progress in e-commerce compared to our neighboring ASEAN countries. And with the initiatives of the business sectors and support from the government, the Philippines is in a good position to achieve more milestones in the coming years.

At the moment, we hope there will be more conferences, events and gatherings like the Cards & Payments Philippines and E-Commerce Show Philippines.

Here are some of the 'moments' I was able to capture during the events.

What do you think? Are we going to see more e-commerce growth soon?
