Last June 26, 2015, Bloggers Ng Pinas’ 1st Bloggers Talk Series happened with the help of Manila Workshops and Freelancer.Ph.
The main objective of the event is to start a regular activity where bloggers, resource persons and brands can be at one place to talk about relevant topics and ideas. These topics and ideas are meant to inform and enhance blogging experience – which is the ‘mantra’ of Bloggers Ng Pinas.
Even with some challenges-- which includes looking for the right venue, willing and credible speakers, and support from a few sponsors, and the lack of time for preparation—the event happened and received good feedback.
Aside from the support from Manila Workshops and Freelancer.ph, the Bloggers Ng Pinas community also gained some help from sponsors like BGC My City, La Bolsa by Michelle and Foodee.
The event started with the first speaker Mr. Jojy Azurin of Horsepower.PH who shared about The Future of Work. Jojy explained to those in attendance how opportunities of work online are opening up for everyone.
It was Mr. Ron Oriel Villagonzalo who came after Jojy to share how, as a blogger, he conducts himself. Aside from being a blogger and CEO of Sagabay Outsourcing Services, Mr. Ron Villagonzalo is also the founding member of PBnet.
Other PBnet founding members, Rafael Pekson II and Ted Claudio were also there to show support to Ron and Mr. Azrael Coladilla—who is also one of the anticipated speakers that night.
Mr. Jeoff Solas, who is a blogger, brand guardian of Best Western Plus Antel Hotel and the youngest director of the Makati Tourism Foundation, Inc. followed after Mr. Villagonzalo.
Jeoff’s presentation focused on the relationships between bloggers, agencies and brands. He shed some light on how each of the segments work with the other.
Amidst the heavy traffic, Mr. Azrael Coladilla of AzraelsMerryland.blogspot.com, came to the event and shared exhaustively his thoughts and best practices as a blogger on how to attract advertisers.
Azrael treated everyone with a lot of useful information to the delight of the attendees.
In between every speaker, there were some giveaways to show BNP’s appreciation of the people who attended the event. Three La Bolsa bags were given away aside from the freebies from Horsepower.ph.
Our snack sponsors, BGC My City and Foodee, helped everyone absorb all the information the speakers shared that night with a full tummy.
This was just the 1st Bloggers Talk Series by Bloggers Ng Pinas and based on the participation and feedback from the attendees, it was a success!
We will definitely plan for the 2nd Bloggers Talk Series soon.
